Our Mission

Our mission is to reduce opioid overdoses, protect vulnerable individuals, and build a supportive network embracing harm reduction principles.

At events like music festivals and community gatherings, we aim to empower people with the knowledge and tools to recognize an overdose and administer naloxone.

By normalizing naloxone use, we believe we can save lives. Together, we can create environments where lives are valued, health is prioritized, and communities unite to save lives.

You too can make a difference.

What is Naloxone?

Naloxone, often known by its brand name Narcan®, is an opioid antagonist. It attaches to opioid receptors and reverses and blocks the effects of other opioids, allowing it to safely and quickly reverse an opioid overdose.

Recognize the Signs

  • Unconscious, not breathing, or shallow breathing
  • Faint or no heartbeat
  • Gurgling sounds, loud snoring, vomiting
  • Clammy or cold skin, pale skin, blue lips
  • Cannot wake up or speak
  • Small pupils

How to Respond

  1. Call 911 immediately
  2. Lay the person on their back. Remove the nasal spray from the box and peel back the tab.
  3. Hold the spray with your thumb on the plunger and two fingers on the nozzle.
  4. Tilt their head back, support the neck, and gently insert the nozzle into one nostril.
  5. Press the plunger firmly. If no response in 2–3 minutes, give a second dose.

Naloxone can only reverse an opioid overdose. There is no effect on someone without opioids in their body. It is safe to use on anybody.

Jed Rhein

Founder

Jed Rhein, a Los Angeles native, began his acting career at four years old. After twenty-six successful years, he transitioned to producing at thirty. Alongside his career success, he faced addiction, leading to a profound spiritual transformation. Sober since his thirties, Jed found his true purpose in helping others recover from alcohol and drug abuse. Unfortunately, overdose is a frequent and tragic part of this journey.

While recovery isn't necessary for everyone using drugs, no one is safe from fentanyl-laced substances, particularly experimenting youth. The fentanyl crisis has drastically escalated overdose rates, causing widespread horror. Jed founded Life of the Party to leverage harm reduction tools and prevent senseless deaths.
